Amman, Jordan
The Three Musafirs

Once upon a time there was a boy named Robert from the burbs of Chicago. He wanted to learn how to be an adult, and so he left his family and traveled to Kentucky to go to school. He spent his days majoring in International Relations, trying to learn Arabic, rock climbing, and cooking. Twas there that he met Leah and Alix as they endevoured to major in much the same way as him. After spending a great deal of three years learning about the world in all its vastness, and trying to learn one of it's myriad languages, they decided that their time in Kentucky had run its course. It was time for them to leave the classroom and go out into the world they had been reading about. It is becasue of this that he now writes to you from Amman.
He too is looking forward to perfecting his Arabic while doing research in conjunction with the University's Center for Strategic Studies; a place that helps shed light on some deeply misunderstood topics in the region. He also will be trying to help locals perfect their English at his new ESL position which will surely be a learning experience for both parties. The world is a great big old place as far as Robert can tell. So many peple to meet, things to understand, food to eat, places to remember! He figured the best way to go find out about it all was to simply jump in. Hopefully you enjoy following along in his plunge!
